Principal Researcher, Data Science, Creative Economy & Data Analytics
Stef's work involves using novel sources of data and machine learning techniques to better understand the labour market.
Prior to Nesta, Stef was a Researcher at Imperial College London, working on predictive models for physical systems using deep learning. Stef holds a MSc in Mathematical Engineering from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from Imperial College London. Their PhD thesis focused on quantifying how much information about external stimuli can be recovered from neural activity.
When they are not playing around with data, Stef can be found ballroom dancing, volunteering for DataKindUK and talking to their cats in the hope that, someday, the cats will understand.
