Alex is responsible for maximising Nesta's impact as an influential voice on innovation policy in the UK.
Alex joins Nesta from the House of Commons where, as Head of Research for the Shadow Digital Minister Liam Byrne MP, she worked with the Shadow Digital, Culture, Media and Sport team to develop Labour Party policy and responses to Government consultations on issues of digital technology, including online safety, full-fibre broadband rollout and skills for the future. She also developed local policy for the West Midlands Metropolitan Mayoral campaign and was responsible for the smooth running of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Inclusive Growth.
Previously, Alex has worked in communications and editorial roles in think tanks and on political campaigns. She holds a BA in Politics, Psychology and Sociology from the University of Cambridge.
