Sean is the Programme Manager for the Innovation Mapping team and is responsible for the general smooth running of the team and its activities.

Sean works across the portfolio of projects within Innovation Mapping, providing both oversight and project management capacity, to support the team to deliver projects to time, cost and quality as well as developing and maturing the pipeline of new ideas to be launched into projects that are interesting, engaging and add value to society.

Prior to Nesta, Sean was the Transformation Portfolio Manager in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and was responsible for designing and implementing a tiered portfolio management approach to the management and delivery of change programmes and projects across the MOD, including their governance and reporting processes and systems as well as building consistent delivery frameworks for risk, dependency, benefits and resource management.

Outside of work Sean has a keen interest in social entrepreneurship and is the Chair of the Board of Directors for a London based social enterprise - GCDA - whose mission is to support communities to thrive economically, environmentally and socially. Sean holds an MA in International Business Studies from the University of Edinburgh as well as a number of project management qualifications.
