Where you'll live

Living on campus

At Queen Mary, you can experience campus life while living in one of the most exciting cities in the world. We provide a range of affordable accommodation on or near our campuses in Mile End, Whitechapel and Charterhouse Square. Find out about where you could live when you study with us.

Accommodation for Clearing Applicants

We reserve a significant number of places for our applicants who join us through clearing.

If you are an international or EU student, we can guarantee you accommodation in a Queen Mary hall of residence or with a partner provider. For students from the UK, we allocate rooms on a random ballot system to applicants who submit their online housing application by Wednesday 19 August.

I loved living in halls. I was with a range of students – some were international, some were home, everyone was doing different courses.

Your home in London

London is an incredible city to live in, and your time here will give you plenty of opportunities to explore. Getting

Living in Queen Mary accommodation gives you the opportunity to study and socialise with students from all over the world. Many people will be away from home for the first time, and you’ll enjoy the adventure together as part of the Queen Mary community.

Our largest campus, in Mile End, is one of the largest self-contained campuses in London. Located alongside the historic Regent’s Canal, it has everything you need to live, study and socialise, from cafes, bars and a nightclub to a 24-hour library, computer labs and sports facilities.
