General Counsel & Company Secretary
As General Counsel Corinna oversees Nesta's legal team and is responsible for Nesta's legal compliance, including charity and company law compliance, as well as Nesta's relationships with its regulators, the Charity Commission and the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator. She also helps ensure the success of Nesta relationships and programmes through effective contractual arrangements. As Company Secretary, Corinna supports the Chair and CEO in enabling Nesta's Board of Trustees to provide effective oversight and strategic direction for the organisation and is responsible for Nesta's subsidiary companies.
Corinna originally joined Nesta in 2010 as Legal Counsel and formed part of the legal team that managed Nesta's transition from being a public body to charitable status.
Corinna has previously held in-house legal positions as a commercial lawyer in the private sector including in the telecoms and utilities sectors, having qualifying in private practice.
