Ingrid Harvold Kvangraven is a Lecturer in International Development at the University of York and the Interdisciplinary Global Development Centre. She holds a PhD in Economics from The New School for Social Research.
Her research is centered on the role of finance in development, structural features of underdevelopment, the political economy of development, and critically assessing the economics field.
She’s also Founder and Editor of the blog Developing Economics, founder and steering group member of Diversifying and Decolonising Economics (D-Econ), and coordinator of the Association for Heterodox Economics.
In 2015, she founded INET’s Young Scholars Initiative’s Economic Development Working Group, which she was coordinator of for three years.
She holds BA and MA degrees in Development Studies from the University of Oslo and the London School of Economics (LSE), respectively.
