UCL welcomes Government's reversal on A-level algorithm use
We welcome the government’s decision that A-level results will be now determined by Centre Assessed Grades, rather than the Ofqual algorithm. We also welcome the changes to International Baccalaureate, SQA and Cambridge International qualifications.
UCL’s priority is to be as fair as possible to all applicants, recognising that they have worked hard during unprecedented circumstances and deserve their first choice university. We are delighted to accept all students who meet the terms of their original offer on all programmes that do not have an externally-determined cap (such as medicine).
If you have applied to study medicine, we cannot comment on our position until we have had further guidance from Health Education England on the funding of any additional places. Please bear with us while we await this further information.
We look forward to welcoming students from the UK and around the world to study with us.
*If following an official regrade you expect to meet or exceed the original conditions of your UCL offer, please let us know through this secure form. This form is also open to International Baccalaureate, SQA and Cambridge International applicants. We will use this information to contact you about your options.
