With this in mind we wanted to provide information on how we can help. We’re also offering extra support to schools in Victoria during Term 3, given the recent announcements.

Reducing risk and minimising disruption
We continue to experience uncertain times as a global community. With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to disrupt our homes, social engagements and workplaces, particularly in Victoria (and Melbourne specifically) I’d like to share what Oxford University Press is doing to reduce any risk to employees and our education community, while minimising disruption to business operations.
To ensure we deliberately reduce the risk to employees and continue to play our part in limiting the spread of COVID-19 infections, our Docklands office remains closed. We will continue to closely follow the advice provided by the Department of Health and Human Services and at such time that it is permitted, will take a pragmatic, but cautious approach to reopening the office.
Our education consultants are available to visit partner institutions in all states other than Victoria where three conditions are met: the State Government advice permits it; the institution requests a visit, and the consultant is comfortable to attend where mutual physical distancing conditions are supported. We will also deliver all professional development and group training events virtually during Term 3 / Semester 2.
We remain open and here to support
We are providing support to all customers by video conferencing, webinars, phone, email, instant messaging and texts, and these methods of contact and support will be maintained for our Victorian team and customers throughout the period of Stage Three and Four Restrictions. These new ways of working have been embraced and supported by everyone, and we are truly grateful for this support.
Despite these challenges, we are here to support you. We are still preparing new manuscripts for publications (in print and online) to be delivered in time for the new year following our normal cycle, and our distribution facility continues to operate. There may be slight delays in our shipping and response times and we encourage you to engage with our Help Centre so we can prioritise support.
A long and proud history
As a department of the University of Oxford, we are proud that a team of scientists has taken the next step towards the discovery of a safe, effective and accessible vaccine against coronavirus. To read about recent developments, please visit the University of Oxford website.
Oxford University Press has continuously operated in ANZ since 1908, so rest assured we will maintain our mission to support educators and enable learning through this difficult time. Since the start of the pandemic, we have provided complimentary digital resources to almost 800 schools, delivered professional development to 1000s of school and tertiary educators, and provided digital access to around 1 million students across Australia. I am therefore confident we will all emerge stronger and more resilient than ever.
Stay safe and well.
