Welcome to the Department of Economics
Academic Year 2020-2021 Remote/Limited Operations
The UNM Department of Economics is operating largely remotely in the 2020-2021 academic year (AY), due to a combination of: (i) renovationsto the Economics Building; and (ii) UNM's response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Our main office will be temporarily located in Sara Raynolds Hall Room 107, but access to the building is by appointment only. If you need to contact the Department with any questions, please email: econdept@unm.edu
Individual faculty and staff remainin contact via email and schedule videoconferences as needed.
As a part of UNM's efforts to reduce our on-campus presence during AY2020-2021, we are changing the format of many Economics classes. For Fall 2020, approximately 90% of our courses will be entirely online or remote delivery, as supported through UNMLearn; the rest will have only limited face-to-face contact, under strict public health guidelines (including social distancing and required mask wearing). For any questions about the teaching modality for a course, check the UNM Schedule of Classes (schedule.unm.edu), or contact your instructors.
